Acceptance!

How different would your life feel if you believed, truly believed that you are enough just as you are?

We are constantly bombarded by media, to want more, to be more, to have more, to be different, slimmer, more toned, more, more more…….all this actually creates is a mindset of NOT ENOUGH!! This mindset is great for the companies that want us to buy their products, as we then believe if I have, buy, do, eat, take, use that product, I will become the person who feels happier with myself ~ as a therapist, woman, mother and human being, I have to come to know that no ONE thing that I purchase brings me contentment and happiness.

What does allow us more presence, happiness and moments of contentment, acceptance ~ acceptance of this moment just as it is, acceptance of who we are, where we are and doing, being exactly as we are.

We have the power to change and make new choices, but unless we accept where we are, we are always chasing the next moment believing it to be the moment that is to be happy!

Learning how to accept is to be present, to acknowledge all that is happening and work with it, to grow through, feel through, be through all that is, even if it is not how you want it or imagine it to be. You always have choices, some days are great, some good, some challenging and some are just days, but they are your days to live, to love and to accept. With acceptance we allow life to feel very different, we are not trying to escape the moment but be with it.

Take a moment and ask yourself;

How can I accept today for all that it is?

What will support me to be more present?

Then notice how your day feels!

Acceptance is a game changer………..

Today….

What we choose to do each day creates the life we live, the quality of our choices determine the quality of our life. Surely then we deserve to really think about what we do with our ‘time,’ the most precious currency we have, the one element in life that we never get back!

This moment, as you read this blog, and you are present within yourself is an investment in how you choose to create your ‘today.’

When we take time, make time to read articles, see quotes and reflect, we get to decide what we want to review perhaps change from the information we have read.

What areas of your life ‘feel’ too much, not enough, stressed, overwhelming, draining or really hard work?

Which relationships take from you and ‘feel’ challenging?

What daily things you do, drain you?

Where do you feel put upon?

When we take time to notice what is NOT working for us, then we can start to make choices that work with and for us!

Which people, places, activities support and enhance you?

Which ‘yes’s make life ‘feel‘ good, great and uplifting?

Where would ‘NO’ support you?

So much of what we do and who we are is unconscious, driven from old ways of being, old patterns of behaviour. You decide do you want to keep on doing what you have always done to feel how you have always felt, or do YOU want to make CHANGES!

I invite you today, to pause and notice where, who, what and when do you ‘feel’ good in your day, add more of those ingredients to your life!

Rest, to enhance you.

Rest is very necessary ingredient for vitality, for energy, for enthusiasm, for gratitude, for a healthy mind and for a thriving body.

Rest allows you the space to reflect on life, on experiences, on choices, on your feelings and decide how to be with what is happening within your life.

Rest supports you with being able to find that place within yourself that can decompress, take time to step away from people, places and perhaps the speed or maybe the overwhelm.

When we give ourselves permission to slow down, to create time for ourselves away from the noise of life and people, we are unconsciously saying to ourselves…‘you matter!’

In our incredibly fast paced, high achieving, social media posting world, rest doesn’t look dynamic, it perhaps doesn’t get likes or respect or even noticed.

Rest is to reset yourself.

Rest is to switch down a gear, to slow down and feel more.

Rest is to have the space to see the bigger picture and the power in the smaller detail.

Rest is to create time to do ‘less’ and to BE ‘more.’

Rest says I am taking care of myself.

Rest is the ingredient that creates a better quality of life, a richer thought pattern, a more grateful heart and a more aware way of being.

Rest enhances life in so many ways, it adds texture, depth, colour and enables us to live a life of BEING more.

Rest adds emotional wealth to our life!
